The MSU Alumni Association
Promise
The policy of the MSU Alumni Association is to protect the privacy of MSU
alumni and MSU Alumni Association members. The MSU Alumni Association does
not use or disclose information that identifies a specific user without the
member's permission, except in conjunction with delivery of information to
a user in response to that member's request from, or use of, the MSU Alumni
Association service. As part of that service, the MSU Alumni Association may
provide the opportunity for users to specifically select areas of interest
in order to receive news and marketing materials related to those interests.
Members are given an opportunity to opt-out of mailings on their profile at
any time, including registration and when they receive any third-party mailings
from the MSU Alumni Association.
The MSU Alumni
Association will release individual information only if the customer gives
their consent or when we are required to do so by law or other regulatory
authority.
The MSU Alumni
Association will encourage a strong commitment to consumer's privacy within
the companies we select as business partners. These include companies that
assist us in providing services or those that supply information used in our
directory.
MSU Alumni Association Information Practice
The MSU Alumni Association will limit the information we collect about MSU
alumni and MSU Alumni Association members to what is needed to accurately
provide products and services requested by our customers. The MSU Alumni Association
will employ rigorous technology and employee practices to ensure the highest
possible standards of accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
The MSU Alumni
Association will be aggressive in terminating accounts of users that violate
MSU Alumni Association's Conditions of Use Policy.
If the MSU Alumni
Association must deny a consumer's application for service or terminate a
consumer's relationship with the MSU Alumni Association, in cases other than
fraud we will provide upon request the reasons, nature, substance, and information
MSU Alumni Association used in the decision.
MSU Alumni Association Employee Standards
Only those employees needed to carry out the business functions may have access
to information on individual MSU Alumni Association customers. We employ security
techniques to safeguard our customer information.
Each employee
has a personal responsibility for maintaining customer confidence in MSU Alumni
Association. We train each employee on the MSU Alumni Association Privacy
Principles, and those violating these principles will be subject to disciplinary
action, including dismissal in appropriate cases.
